Type and Image Poster: "And Then There Was One..."

Type/Image Poster: Genocide/Nuclear holocaust.
medium: Adobe PhotoShop. 11x17. 2007.
This is an image and type poster on the theme of nuclear genocide. I used Adobe Photoshop to combine a photo of myself walking through a cemetery with the found image of a mushroom cloud, and the words: "And then there was one..."

Here, I merged images to create a visual metaphor. The poster is meant to convey, through image, the idea of the last human on earth following the nuclear holocaust. I used bold colors along with an edgy typeface to visually communicate a powerful, socio-political statement in poster form.

After choosing words relating to genocide, I chose appropriate type, and used Adobe PhotoShop techniques to combined the words with a monochromatic image in order to create a powerful visual statement.

Travel Guide Cover Illustration - Las Vegas

Travel Guide Cover Illustration - Las Vegas
This is an illustration for a  travel guide cover. I referenced photos of iconic images from Las Vegas, combining them in a sort of collage/overlap form. I used a simple triad color scheme (primary colors) and utilized my technique in order to create a soft, friendly image, while maintaining a high level of detail. I referenced and hand-drew the type.
medium: graphite, watercolor, watercolor paper.
